What this audit cannot see (and ARTIC does)

Google's public API shows what any user sees. Real profile management happens from inside.

  • Real map rankings

Your position for each search from each neighbourhood (geogrid).

  • Review replies

Whether you reply, how fast and how: Google values it and customers read it.

  • Posts and products

Updates, offers and services published on the profile.

  • Profile insights

Calls, directions and website visits it generates each month.

  • Directory citations

Name, address and phone matching across every directory.

  • Multiple locations

A strategy for each profile and its local page on the site.

Want ARTIC to manage your Google profile?

Why your Google profile matters so much

When someone searches for a service "near me" or in their city, Google first shows a map with three businesses. Many customers decide right there without visiting any website: they call, ask for directions or read reviews.

Google explains that local ranking depends on relevance (category and profile data), distance and prominence (reviews, rating and web presence). You cannot change distance; you can change the rest.

AI assistants also use the same data to recommend local businesses.

Google Business Profile audit FAQs

What is Google Business Profile?

It is your business's free listing on Google (formerly Google My Business): it appears on Google Maps and in search with address, hours, phone, photos and reviews.

How do you find my profile?

With the official Google Places API, using the name and city from your website. We pick the profile that links to your domain. If you have several locations or the profile does not link to your site, enter the business name and city.

Do you need access to my profile?

No. We only use public data Google shows any user. That is why we cannot see insights or whether you reply to reviews.

Which competitors do you compare me with?

Up to five popular businesses in your primary category within 5 km of your address, according to Google.

What do you do with the data?

We only use it for the audit. We keep the result for 24 hours and Google data for a week to avoid repeat lookups. We do not store personal data unless you fill in the form.
