What is the Digital Kit's secure workplace?
The new category announced by RED.ES of Order TDF/435/2024, of May 9, is the Safe Workplace. This category allows SMEs to receive a laptop, meeting strict specifications to ensure functionality and security. The device, which we will deliver, will include 12 months of support and care, as well as cybersecurity protection.
One of the most common questions some customers have is whether they can order a mobile phone or tablet. RED's answer is clear: NO, it is not compatible with the specified conditions. So, if you find yourself in a situation where a digitizer offers you this product, we recommend being cautious, as RED has been clear on this point and this type of device is not included in the solution.
Technical Features of the Computer
The computer for Segment III must meet the following specifications:
- Processor: Minimum 4 physical cores and clock speed of at least 2.9 GHz.
- Performance: Minimum score of 15,000 in PassMark Software.
- RAM: 16GB DDR4 or higher.
- Storage: Minimum 512GB NVMe SSD, with encryption at rest.
- Operating System: Professional, pre-installed and licensed.
- Graphic card: Dedicated or integrated, with a minimum Full HD resolution and support for two monitors on laptops.
- Connectivity: Wi-Fi 6 or higher, Bluetooth 5.1 or higher.
- Interfaces: USB, Ethernet, HDMI, audio I/O ports.
- Screen: Minimum 13 inches on laptops.
- Others: Optical mouse, HD webcam, battery (on laptops), SmartCard reader, ENERGY STAR®, EPEAT™ Silver, TCO certifications, and ruggedness according to MIL STD 810H.
In all cases, computers with these or higher specifications will be delivered. Warranty, support, and assistance are included.
I've already enjoyed the Starter Kit, can I access the upgrade for this new category?
Yes, SMEs that have already received a bonus can access the new funds. All Segment III SMEs (those with between 0 and 2 employees) have the option to request an extension of their bonus, regardless of whether it has already been granted, spent, or expired.
What's the process? Do they give me the money and I buy the computer, or are you in charge?
RED's terms and conditions state that the beneficiary must have a secure workstation, which in this case is a fully configured computer, with support, assistance, and cybersecurity. Therefore, the company you trust and authorize to request the Kit will be responsible for sending this computer to the address you provide. This, in part, is to meet RED.ES's requirements regarding the equipment's functionality and performance, which will be verified by RED.ES after 12 months of service. Failure to meet any requirement will result in this category being rejected, which may lead to the administration claiming the amount from the beneficiary and the company in charge.
What is the process for requesting a Kit extension?

Although we have preliminary information, we cannot yet process extension requests immediately. The official deadline for requesting an extension will open in June. Once enabled, we will automatically manage the process if we originally processed your voucher.
Have you never ordered the Digital Kit?
For those who haven't yet applied for a bonus, the good news is that the new amount will be €3,000, instead of the initial €2,000. What can you use this extension for?
The use of the extension depends on your current situation:
- If you have already spent your Kit and you have been granted the €1,000 extension, the additional amount can only be used for the “Safe Workplace” category.
- If you have requested a Kit and you have been directly awarded €3,000, you can use the amount for any solution within the Digital Kit categories.
Terms of Service
The computer provided it will not be owned, but in service. This means that, at the end of Phase II of the service, you (as the beneficiary) will be able to acquire ownership of the hardware. upon payment of the residual value. This amount may not, under any circumstances, exceed 15% of the settlement amount. Don't worry, we're doing everything possible to keep this amount to a minimum, and when we say minimum, we mean it. it is very minimalBefore validating any agreement, we'll inform you of the final terms and conditions; there will be no surprises.
The devices must be new and not reconditioned, with clear characteristics, they cannot be secondhand. RED has announced that it will offer support and maintenance 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. In case of failure or breakdown, the equipment will be replaced within a maximum of 5 days. The devices will have the operating system installed and cybersecurity licenses so that they are ready-to-use workstations.
